Does a stress test show an enlarged heart?
I had a stress test and that came back okay but now I had the echo test done and the diagnosis code came back with 429.3 which means cardiomegaly shouldn’t of the stress test showed that or am I wrong? I am dealing with alot of chest pressure and I don’t know what I am up against.
It seems like the area around my eyeshave sunken in. I have had a Ekg and as soon as that was done my Dr put me on nitroglycerin. I get very short winded and alot of heavy chest pressure. I also noticed that I am encountering alot of abdomen pain or pressure and also when they did the ech yesterday he purposedly asked me how tall I was and when I told him he sort of made a gesture type sound.
Actually how tall you are could play an important role on what you are dealing with. My husband is 6′5 and had a lot of chest pain and pressure. Sure enough he has something called Marfans Syndrome. It is a connective tissue disorder that has many other characteristic, but mainly it affects your heart.
I think the only way they determine if your heart is enlarged is for them to do a ultra sound on your heart that way they can see it in its entirety.
Please get these tests done- you really dont want to mess with chest pain !

An enlarged heart is easily shown on EKG +xray chest , I don’t know what your doctor is upto, he is a better judge.
Do you have swelling of the legs or swelling of eye lids in the morning? please let me know.
