My CPU temperature is higher when I am playing a game than when I stress test it with Prime95, is this normal?

I am thinking that it is the heat from the active graphics card that is contributing to the rise in the temperature because the graphics card is right below the CPU. Also, the stress test does not stress the graphics card.
